Thirty-year-old Mantom signed for Vanarama National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town in November 2020 from the Pics, where he had only been for a month.
He originally joined the Pics after being released by then-League Two side Southend United at the end of the 2019/20 season.
The Stourbridge-born former England under-17 international started his career at Walsall before joining West Bromwich Albion in 2010 as a trainee.
After making regular appearances for the Baggies reserve side, he was offered a professional contract before spending time on loan with Icelandic side Haukur, Tranmere Rovers and Oldham Athletic respectively.
It was his next loan move where the midfielder shone at Walsall on two separate occasions before making the move permanent in January 2013.
He made 129 appearances in all competitions, scoring 15 goals in the process and making himself a Saddlers` fan favourite.
In June 2016, he signed for League Two side Scunthorpe United and made 46 appearances.
In January 2018 he moved to Southend United on loan until the end of the 2017/18 season, playing 7 games, and then joined the Shrimpers on a more permanent basis ahead of the 2018/19 season and quickly became captain, totalling 43 games and scoring 5 goals.
Pics manager Liam McDonald told his club’s website: “I am absolutely delighted to get Sam on board.
“Having already had a spell here, he knows the club and what we are all about.
“He really wanted to come here, which is so important. He’s an outstanding footballer and this is just a massive coup for the club.
“He captained Walsall and was skipper at the level above last season with Hemel Hempstead, so we know how good he is going to be in the dressing room.
“I am over the moon that he has chosen us over a lot of other options, and he will be key to our success in the season ahead.
“He’s a local lad and this is an ideal situation for all concerned and I know that our fans will be pleased with this signing.”
Cameron, 22, moves to Dales Lane from league rivals Redditch United.
He had re-joined the Reds in October 2021, having moved to Northern Premier Division One Midlands side Sporting Khalsa in June 2021 from the Trico Stadium.
He had originally joined the Reds in the summer of 2020 from Tividale, where he had been since November 2019.
A natural talent with an eye for goal, as a youth team player he was a prolific goalscorer for Stourbridge.
He also proved in the 2017/18 season that he could step up into open-aged football with a string of outstanding performances for Dudley Town, which earned him a place in Stourbridge’s first-team squad.
McDonald said of Cameron’s arrivals: “He has always caused us problems when we have come up against him.
“On his day he can be a real handful for opposition defenders and now this is an opportunity for him to come here and show what he can do.
“Hopefully he will grab it with both hands and flourish to prove the doubters wrong.
“He is a fighter and a tough lad both physically and mentally and I am sure that he will be able to meet the demands that will be put on him here.
“I am pleased to have him on board”.
