New Boys Hanwell Make First Summer Signing

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South newcomers Hanwell Town have announced their first new summer signing.

Moving from new league rivals Harrow Borough is defender James Mansfield.

The 25-year-old played the majority of Boro’s games in 2021/22, having arrived at Earlsmead in August 2021 from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division outfit Flackwell Heath.

A big, physical player, equally comfortable at the back or in the centre of midfield, defending comes naturally to him and Hanwell manager Chris Moore told his club’s website: “James came down at the start of pre-season and has been outstanding.

“He played the majority of Harrow’s games last season and knows the league we’re going into.

“James had a few options and I’m delighted he’s decided to come on board with us and I’m looking forward to working with him”.
