Biggleswade Add to Stable Group

Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Biggleswade FC have added a handful of new players to their otherwise very stable squad.

Joint bosses Dave Northfield and Mark Inskip have added midfielders Lewis Crosbie and Tom Rowley and defenders Sam Doolan and Craig Grieve.

Crosbie, 19, joins from now Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Wantage Town, where he had been since August 2021.

A former scholar with League Two side Northampton Town, he also had experience with Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.

Rowley is also 19 and is an attacking midfielder who moves to The Eyrie from Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Daventry Town.

He had joined the Purps in November 2021 from then-Southern Premier Division Central side Banbury United, who he joined in August 2021.

He was a junior at AFC Dunstable which is where he was picked up by MK Dons as an under-14.

He remained with the Dons for several seasons, progressing through the age groups which great success.

In the summer of 2019, he earned a scholarship and featured on the bench for MK Dons in a Carabao Cup clash with Coventry City.

Doolan is an experienced 27-year-old centre-back who signed from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Harpenden Town.

He had joined Berkhamsted in July 2020 from then-Spartan South Midlands Leaguers Colney Heath and then returned to the latter in June 2021.

He began his career with Vanarama National League side Boreham Wood, going to play for London Colney, Kings Langley, Welwyn Garden City and Dunstable Town before joining Colney Heath for the first time in 2016.

He has tasted football at Southern Premier Division South level with Hendon, who he signed for in June 2018 from Colney Heath. But he left the Greens to focus on Sunday football before the start of the 2018/19 season and then re-joined Colney Heath later that campaign.

Also new to the club is experienced 34-year-old defender Craig Grieve, who numbers St Neots Town and Bedford FC amongst his previous clubs.
