The 22-year-old has made 10 first-team appearances across all competitions for Gloucester this campaign, with one goal to his name, scoring in the 3-0 win over AFC Telford United last month.
King, who made his Reds debut in Saturday’s Isuzu FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round win at Hitchin Town, made the step up from Gloucester’s youth academy and has looked assured.
One to watch, his height and pace give City a youthful but solid presence in defence.
He spent part of the 2018/19 season on loan at Slimbridge and then re-signed for the Southern Division One South outfit in the summer of 2020, although he remained on dual forms with the Tigers, and totalled over 60 appearances for the Swans.
Last season, he played 12 games on loan to Redditch’s league rivals Nuneaton Borough, scoring 6 goals.
There was also good news for Redditch as two of their academy graduates Adam Hanson and Henry Smith were named on the bench at Top Field on Saturday, with the former making his senior debut in the second half.
