Rendell Leaves Rovers for Yate

Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Paulton Rovers are surprised and disappointed that manager John Rendell and his coaching team have announced they are leaving to join Yate Town, currently languishing in a relegation spot in the Southern League Premier Division South.

Rendell and his team have worked tirelessly over the last five years and leave with Paulton sitting sixth and in a play-off spot in Division One South.

Rendell started his career as a professional at Cardiff City, during his playing days he went on to play for Paulton where he was involved in the 2004 promotion season into the Southern League.

He then gained promotion in similar fashion with Bitton AFC and has also had spells with Cinderford Town, Mangotsfield and Yate.

He re-joined the club as manager in June 2017.

The club have thanked Rendell and his assistant for all their hard work and wishes them well in their future endeavours.

Football chairman Dave Bissex is seeking to appoint a new boss on an interim or permanent basis as soon as possible.
