WGC welcome back home-town trio

The recent acquisition of Jordan Kinoshi and Jack Vasey, means that Welwyn Garden City have been reunited with a trio of their former players in the past fortnight.

Defender Yasin Boodhoo started the ball rolling, when he re-joined the Citizens after over three seasons with neighbours Colney Heath. Previously, Boodhoo had been at WGC for six seasons, playing in both their SSML Championship teams. His aerial prowess has already been underlined with Boodhoo scoring twice in his first two games, upon his return, netting the consolation in a 3-1 defeat at AFC Dunstable and one of the Citizens’ trio of goals in a 3-0 home victory over FC Romania.

He is joined back at the Urbaser Stadium, Herns Lane, by winger Jordan Kinoshi, who was with his home-town club until two seasons ago. A former Luton Town junior, Kinoshi spent six years in the USA before returning to play at WGC. He has since represented St Albans City of the National League South, Hitchin Town and re-joins the Citizens from current Pitching In Southern League Division One Central leaders Berkhamsted.

The third returnee is another WGC boy, forward Jack Vasey, who makes the short return trip from Ware. He also was at his home-town club two seasons ago, before joining Biggleswade Town. Vasey started his career at National League Borehamwood, before enjoying spells with Cambridge City and Bedford Town.
