Hylton Boost for Pics

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Rushall Olympic have pulled off something of a coup by signing experienced forward Jermaine Hylton.

The 29-year-old has moved to Dales Lane following the cancellation of his contract with League Two side Newport County, for whom he made 4 appearances after joining last summer.

After starting out in the youth side at Vanarama National League North side Kidderminster Harriers and then Championship outfit Birmingham City, Hylton was in the final of Sky1's TV talent show `Wayne Rooney's Street Striker` in 2009.

He went on to have spells with Continental Star and Redditch United and in December 2014, was invited to play in a professional development game for his former club; Birmingham by manager Gary Rowett against Manchester City.

Hylton scored one goal and had a hand in the other two as he helped the development team to a 3–2 victory.

But he signed for Swindon Town in January 2015 and went on to play 39 times and have a loan spell with Guiseley AFC before moving to National League side Solihull Moors in the summer of 2017.

He played 69 times for Moors and scored 15 goals which earned him a move to then-Scottish Championship outfit Motherwell in May 2019.

He made 33 appearances for Well and scored 2 goals before switching to Ross County in October 2020, playing 19 times and scoring just the one goal before moving to Wales.
