Waller, a central defender, is the captain of MK Dons’ under-18s and is no stranger to Hayden Road, having played against the Diamonds in last summer’s pre-season friendly against the Dons.
Anker, meanwhile, is an attacking midfield player with an eye for goal.
Both Waller and Anker have spent the last month at Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Tring Athletic, earning rave reviews for their performances.
Anker in particular has amassed 4 goals and three man-of-the-match awards in his 5 appearances at Step 5.
The duo add much-needed resources to the squad following recent departures and injuries and manager Chris Nunn moved quickly to secure his latest additions, telling the club’s website: “Both players have a great future ahead of them in the game. Charlie is comfortable on the ball and adds competition in those defensive positions which is vital at the moment. Joel is excelling and scoring goals at Tring and to have the opportunity to sign a player in form is brilliant. He excites on the ball with his attacking flair and I’m sure the Diamonds fans will love him.
“MK Dons have been incredibly helpful and have advised that they’re looking to establish a relationship with us moving forward which can only be a good thing for the football club. They’ve got really high hopes for these two lads and we thank them for trusting us to help with their progression”.
