Sambu is a second year scholar with Cheltenham, making his first professional appearance against MK Dons in the Papa John’s Trophy in September 2022 and a second followed against West Ham United’s under-21s when he was named man-of-the-match.
Normally a wing-back, Sambu can also play on the right hand side of midfield and featured as a make shift striker on his debut.
Since making first appearance for the Robins, Sambu has been on `work experience` at Cirencester and Redditch United.
Sambu impressed for Cirencester, grabbing a hat-trick in the Isuzu FA Trophy, scoring 9 goals in 10 appearances.
Sambu was re-called from his spell with the Centurians and was immediately sent out to Southern Premier Division Central outfit Redditch United.
The 18-year-old then joined Redditch’s league rivals Stratford Town in January, again on `work experience`.
