Lench Returns to Top Field

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hitchin Town have brought Matt Lench back to Top Field on dual registration with Vanarama National League South side Slough Town.

The 30-year-old originally joined Slough from Hitchin in June 2017, having spent four seasons with the Canaries.

He can play in any attacking midfield positions and gives excellent attacking options.

He is technically very good, works hard, is good in the air and has a real eye for goal.

He left Slough to join Wealdstone in the summer of 2018 but re-joined the Rebsls for a second spell in January 2019 before returning to the Stones just before Christmas 2020.

He made the journey back again to Slough in May 2021.

Hitchin have also confirmed that the loan deals on Josh Allen from Championship side Luton Town and Ciaren Jones from National League North outfit Brackley Town have been extended until the end of the season.
