Rushall Olympic & Walthamstow Receive Their Club of the Month Awards

Two of the PST Sport Club of the Month awards for March were presented on Wednesday ahead of two of the Pitching In Southern League play-off semi-finals.

Rushall Olympic won the award for the Premier Division Central and celebrated with winning their play-off semi-final at Coalville Town!

Liam McDonald’s side won all three league games during the month and also won through to the final of the Walsall Senior Cup after beating Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Boldmere St Michaels 2-0.

The Pics saw off play-off rivals Nuneaton Borough 3-0 at Dales Lane and won 2-0 at Bedford Town and then 1-0 back on home soil against St Ives Town.

League Director Steve Hyde presented the award to Pics` chairman John Allen.

The award for Division One Central went to Walthamstow, who won all three of their March fixtures to move into the top five.

Nick Ironton’s side not only had a 100% month, but all three wins came on their travels to Kidlington, Hadley and Aylesbury United.

Unfortunately for Stow, they were beaten in their play-off semi-final at Didcot Town.

League Director Dave Stephens presented the award to Walthamstow’s vice-chairman Steve Howe.
