Bromsgrove Sporting Bring in New Head Coach

Having agreed a deal for player-manager Mike McGrath to remain in charge for 2023/24 earlier this week, Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Bromsgrove Sporting have announced the appointment of a new head coach.

McGrath has brought in Craig Nicholls, who until recently was joint manager of Northern Premier League Division One Midlands outfit Halesowen Town as well as being the Yeltz’s education academy boss – a role which he retains.

Nicholls was joint boss alongside Martin Sockett until March when the club brought back the highly rated Paul Smith, who has just led them to promotion after winning the play-off final against Spalding United last week.

Nicholls and Sockett were appointed in October 2022 after Smith had left.

Nicholls, who holds a UEFA A badge, is an experienced coach with over 15 years experience.
