More Award Winners.....

There have been a plethora of Pitching In Southern Football League clubs who have held their annual presentations in recent days.

Leiston enjoyed a terrific 2022/23 season, finishing third in the Premier Division Central.

Their supporters` player of the year award went to Will Davies, who scored 29 league goals.

Division One South club Paulton Rovers revealed Aaron Sainsbury as their supporters` player of the year and he also claimed the players` player award.

The managers` player of the year went to Neil Martin.

Division One Central club Biggleswade Town’s award winners were Jon Clements, Harry Draper, Timmy Smith and Luke Middleton, who all collected their awards from chairman Maurice Dorrington.

The Waders` league rivals Hadley performed well in their first season at Step 4 level.

Billy Hayes won two awards, being voted as supporters` player and managers` player of the year.

Players` player trophy went to Luke Alfano, who also claimed the `golden boot`.

Division One South club Melksham Town’s supporters voted Sam Hendy as their player of the season.

The managers` and players` player of the season was Albie Hopkins.

Top goalscorer and `golden boot` winner was Jay Malshanskyj.

Slimbridge, relegated from Melksham’s division, had a player walk away with a `hat-trick` of awards.

Ethan Dunbar claimed the supporters`, the players` player and the `golden boot`.

The managers` player of the year was James Sunley.

Harrow Borough, relegated from the Premier Division South, had George Moore claim both the supporters` and the managers` player of the season awards.

The players` player gong went to Ahmet Biler.

Lloyd Humphries was named as Premier Division South champions Weston-super-Mare’s players` player of the year and Supporters player of the year.

Humphries also claimed two more accolades for the most man of the match awards and the goal of the season for his spectacular strike against North Leigh.

Weston’s league rivals Chesham United players` player of the season was Eoin Casey.

And he received his award via FaceTime from Ibiza!

The managers` and supporters` player of the season awards went to Jeanmal Prosper, while Tobias Braney was voted as the young player of the year after a successful loan spell from Luton Town.

Ryan Doherty was the big winner at Division One Central club Welwyn Garden City’s annual presentation event.

The powerful, young defender was both manager Marc Weatherstone’s choice as his player of the year and was also voted in as the young player of the year.

Cyrus Babaie was voted players player of the season by his team-mates.

The versatile Lewis Franklin was the supporters` player of the year, an award presented by Andy Cornish on behalf of the fans, while a special presentation was made to another central defender in Yasin Boodhoo, on completing 150 appearances for the Citizens.

Boodhoo re-joined the club half-way through the season from Colney Heath, having previously played for the club for six seasons through their South Midlands League glory days. He is now fully fit again, after a serious knee injury.

Premier Division South club Merthyr Town revealed Ricardo Rees as their supporters` player of the season as well as the winner of the `golden boot`.

The Martyrs` players` player of the year was Alex John, while the away supporters chose Tom Handley as their winner.

Division One Central club Kempston Rovers announced Seb Simpson as their supporters` player of the year.

The managers` player of the season went to full back Jake Kerins.

Goalkeeper George Rose received the Walnut Boys` players` player of the year award.
