Having already claimed the Staffordshire Senior Cup and secured promotion via the play-offs to the Vanarama National League North, it has been a will be historic season for Liam McDonald’s side.
Against a young Saddlers outfit, the Pics took a 10th minute lead when some neat inter-play set up Andre Carvalho-Landell, who fired past Walsall keeper George Barrett from the edge of the box.
Rushall went two-up just 7 minutes later when Alex Cameron got hold of a loose ball and slotted his shot under Barrett.
Walsall reduced the deficit on 21 minutes when Ronan Maher took full advantage of a slip in defence to beat Jake Weaver.
The Pics went into half-time 2-1 ahead and on the hour-mark, virtually made sure the trophy was heading to Dales Lane when Reece Mitchell’s cross was headed home by Richard Batchelor.
Kieran Cook later struck the inside of a post as Rushall looked to extend their lead and then Fletcher came close to adding a fourth in the last few minutes.
But it was another terrific victory for the Pics in a season to remember.
