New Role for Hutchinson at League New Boys

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central newcomers Long Eaton United have announced that vastly experienced forward Ben Hutchinson has taken up a first-team coaching role for the 2023/24 season.

Hutchinson joined the Blues at the start of the 2021/22 season from United Counties League Premier Division North neighbours Eastwood CFC.

The 35-year-old made 22 appearances for Long Eaton, netting 6 times.

Nottingham born, he brings a vast amount of experience having played for Middlesbrough, Celtic, Swindon Town, Lincoln City and Mansfield in his early career.

He made over 100 professional appearances, from playing and scoring in the Premier League for Middlesbrough and competing in the UEFA Champions League with Celtic.

More recently, he spent two null and void seasons with Newark FC, in which the forward scored 27 goals in 48 appearances from 2019 to 2021 competing in the Midland League Premier Division, and then with Carlton Town.
