Gamble will assist manager Dave Diaper and assistant bosses Marc Diaper and Byron Mason and brings a wealth of experience both as a player and a coach.
Gamble has UEFA B coaching qualifications and for many years was head of education at Southampton, as well as first team manager at Wimborne Town.
The 36-year-old signed for Sholing as a player in November 2022.
He was appointed as player/assistant-manager at Sholing’s league rivals Wimborne Town in the summer of 2020.
Belfast-born, he had three spells with the Magpies, sandwiched by periods in between with AFC Totton and has also featured for Winchester City, Farnborough and Bashley.
Gamble heads up Sholing’s under-18 academy and his knowledge will be of great benefit to the club for continuing their excellent record of bringing players through the youth and academy and into first team football.
Gamble told his clubs social media: “I am really keen to be part of it and look forward to having a good pre-season with the players.
“It’s an exciting time for the club and I am keen to work with the rest of the management to make sure we are fully prepared for what the season has in store for us.
“My involvement with Sholing academy will also ensure that future talent within the club is recognised, thus providing the pathway to the first team”.
