Manor Farm Bring in New Young Keeper

Bristol Manor Farm have announced that young goalkeeper Frankie Phillips has become the newest addition to the team for the upcoming 2023/24 Pitching In Southern League Division One South season, having agreed to the terms.

Phillips, son of former Bristol City and Bristol Rovers keeper Steve, is the next player to join the Portwaymen ahead of what’s set to be an exciting season at the club.

Manager Lee Lashenko acted quickly to bring in another goalkeeper to work and learn alongside Seth Locke who was the second player to agree terms this summer.

Lashenko told his club’s website: “Frankie is another young player that we have high hopes for. We have brought him in to work and learn from Seth to continue his progression. We know the pedigree that his father has here in the city, and we want to help Frankie develop into senior football.”

Phillips’ career started with an exciting move to Premier League giants Liverpool just aged 8, and had since moved onto the famed Southampton academy until he was 16-years-old.

For the past year and a half, the young keeper has featured for Tollstation Western League side Welton Rovers` under-18s as well as for Uhlsport Somerset County League side Chilcompton Sports.
