Tanner follows Ryan Kirwan in joining the Geordies this summer to date and arrives from former league rivals Metropolitan Police.
The 23-year-old was a summer 2021 signing for the Met from former Southern Premier Division South rivals and now sadly defunct, Walton Casuals.
He had joined Casuals in July 2020 from another then-league rival, Farnborough.
At youth level he got much attention from professional clubs and is a versatile left-footed player.
