Having captured Ashton Hall from Northern Premier League Division One East side Grantham Town earlier this month to add to the players retained from last season’s NPL Division One Midlands title-winning squad, attacking midfielder Harry Wood has also made the short trip down the A1 from the Gingerbreads.
The 23-year-old had joined Grantham in February 2022 after returning to England from Maltese outfit FC Mgarr United.
He had signed for Mgarr from another team from Malta, Lija Athletic, in August 2021, having first moved to the island in the summer of 2019 from NPL Premier side Matlock Town.
He had signed for the Gladiators in August 2017 having impressed in the academy and reserve sides.
He joined home-town club Chesterfield at the age of 7 before being released.
His father Andy was a midfielder with Matlock in the early 1990s.
