Player of the Year Commits to Canaries

Mark Burke, manager of Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hitchin Town, has announced that the 2022/23 supporters` player of the year, Ashley Hay, has agreed terms for the new campaign ahead.

Hay quickly proved himself as a goalscorer last season with pin-point accuracy headers.

The hardworking striker, he joined the Canaries in October 2022 from local rivals Biggleswade Town after a short spell with the Waders.

Hay enjoyed a prolific season in front of goal with Spartan South Midlands League neighbours Baldock Town in 2021/22.
