Usher-Shipway Remains With Brakes

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Leamington have announced that Ben Usher-Shipway has agreed to remain with Paul Holleran's squad for the new season.

The 24-year-old forward who signed Leamington in June 2022 from National League side Solihull Moors, where he had been since June 2019.

The former Boldmere St Michaels youngster came through the youth system with the Mikes before making his first team debut in 2015 against Coventry Sphinx.

Holleran told his club’s website: “There were one or two things that prevented Ben from having as good a season as he would have liked last time out.

“He was hampered by a niggling injury for a time, but still featured in 33 out of the 50 games we played. I think that if he can get a good pre-season and we can improve his figures he can be a real force for us”.
