Payne pulled off something of a coup in the week by persuading prolific marksman BJ Christie to end his long spell with the OD’s and move to the Yvette Brewer Stadium.
Longden, 28, joined AFC Dunstable in October 2020 from rivals Bedford Town, where he had been since the close season of 2018.
He was at the OD’s prior to moving to the Eagles and his other previous clubs include St Ives Town, Chesham United, St Neots Town and Luton Town.
Payne said: “Delighted to announce that full back Brett joins us from AFC Dunstable. Brett is a player that will bring us experience and quality in the full back areas & be big for the changing room”.
