The 38-year-old will be a familiar face to Hendon supporters, having played against the club on numerous occasions.
He turned out for the likes of Wingate & Finchley, Leatherhead, Billericay Town, Burnham and Staines Town, where he really came to the fore during five seasons with the sadly now defunct Swans.
His last club was Hendon’s league rivals Harrow Borough and after hanging up his boots, he joined the coaching team at Earlsmead, supporting manager Steve Baker behind the scenes.
Following the departure of Baker from Harrow, Allinson moved quickly to secure Charles-Smith's services in support of himself and Ian Allinson ahead of the new season.
