Busy Eagles Bring in Watkins

Busy Bedford Town have announced yet another new signing ahead of their return to the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central.

Attacking midfielder Adam Watkins makes the move to The Eyrie having helped Berkhamsted win promotion to the Premier Division Central last season.

The experienced 31-year-old had been with the Comrades since November 2020 after arriving from Southern Premier Division Central side Royston Town.

He had joined the Crows in October 2019 from Barton Rovers having been with Cambridge City since 2018.

He has previously played for Chesham United, Bedford Town, Dunstable Town and Luton Town where he was an ever-present in season 2011/12 in the National League.

He made 42 appearances in all competitions for Luton during that season, scoring 6 goals.

The following season he was in the Luton squad that beat then-Premier League Norwich City in the FA Cup.
