The 25-year-old had been back with Bedford Town since March 2023 after arriving from Royston Town.
He had moved to the Crows in October 2022 from AFC Rushden & Diamonds, having been at Hayden Road since August 2021 following a move from another then-league rival, Biggleswade Town, where he had been since October 2020.
He had originally joined Bedford in August 2018 following a successful trial period and then switched to St Ives Town in October 2019.
He spent eight years with MK Dons before being released in the summer of 2018 and had loan stints at Oxford City and Aylesbury United whilst on the Dons` books.
Nuneaton manager Jimmy Ginnelly has been keen to sign Furlong and he told the club’s website: “The management are very happy that this lad has the belief in us here at Nuneaton Borough. He’s a winger/forward who we wanted to add to the squad this year. One thing that I like to do in football is, when you play against a good player, keep a track of him and see how he’s doing. Then, when the seasons over, invite him in for a good chat and see if you can sign them. Connor Furlong is one of those players. He’s very dynamic on the ball, causes all sorts of problems for defences, and loves an assist and a goal! So here’s another one that you supporters will certainly like”.
