Midfielder Prince Mancinelli, 22, joined Boro a year ago from Belper Town, where he had been since September 2021, having signed for Tamworth in July 2021.
The Italian has previously plied his trade with Basford United, Long Eaton United and Radford, then in the East Midlands Counties and now in the United Counties League Division One.
Manager Jimmy Ginnelly told his club’s website: “He came to us last season after we had told about him and I personally went and watched this lad play for myself. He stood out for Belper Town and definitely deserved the chance to jump up another level.
“Prince's learning the game very well at the moment and he’s getting better with maturity. He played 43 games for us last year in the middle of the park and that’s no mean feat for a 21-year-old.
“He covered every blade of grass for his team mates last season and hopefully there’s loads more to come from this lad! If he can add putting the ball into that onion bag, then it’s only a matter of time before one of the bigger clubs come calling for his signature.”
Also agreeing terms to stay at Liberty Way is striker Matty Stenson.
Stenson first signed for at the start of last season, with Boro fans expecting him to deliver the goals they’d need to achieve promotion. However, Stenson agreed that he fell short of that and is back to make amends.
The 29-year-old joined Boro from FC Halifax Town.
He had signed for the Shaymen in the summer of 2020 from Vanarama National League rivals Solihull Moors.
He had been with Moors after arriving from Leamington in October 2018 for an undisclosed fee.
He had only been with the Brakes since the summer of 2018 after arriving from Barwell where he scored an impressive 20 goals in all competitions having joined the Canaries the previous summer from Hinckley-based Midland League Division One side Leicester Road.
He played for his home-town club Coventry City for 8 years, leaving due to family reasons.
As an 18-year-old he came through the youth team and made 23 appearances for Hinckley United in the Conference North and the Southern Premier as a central midfielder before the Knitters sadly went into liquidation.
It was at Hinckley that he suffered a hip injury which put him out of action for two-and-a-half-years.
After an operation he returned to the game with Leicester Road, where 42 goals in 25 games brought him to the attention of Barwell.
Ginnelly said: “I’m delighted again to see another of our strikers, who helped get the team to the playoffs, re-sign for the new 2023/24 season.
“Matt Stenson came to Nuneaton with a big, big CV and certainly played a massive part in last season’s (almost) success story.
“He’s quick, strong, and puts many assists into the boys. Matty’s also one of those players who mingles with you fans, especially with him being a local boy from Keresley.
“He feels he owes himself and the supporters a good year.
“He feels he didn’t get up to his own heights of performances but Is absolutely determined to hit the ground running this time.
“We probably put him under too much pressure to score too many goals in his first season. Hopefully, he’s a bit more relaxed and the goals will come. I have faith in this boy”.
