Buchanan is a 22-year-old who returned to Baldock midway through 2022/23 from Hendon, who he moved to in August 2022 from Ware.
He had joined Ware in July 2021 from Southern Division One Central rivals Welwyn Garden City, where he had been since September 2020.

Whilst with the Hatters he had loan spells with Hitchin Town, Kettering Town and Biggleswade Town.
