New Keeper for Stotfold

Pitching In Southern League Division One Central newcomers Stotfold continue to strengthen their promotion-winning squad with the arrival of goalkeeper Alfie Bonfield.

The 23-year-old joins the Eagles from former Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division rivals Risborough Rangers, who finished third behind Leighton Town and Stotfold last season.

Son of a well-known former non-League keeper Darren Bonfield, he joined Risborough late in the 2022/23 campaign from Leverstock Green.

He was previously with Northwood, Edgware Town, Hendon, St Albans City and Wealdstone and was also on dual registration with Hitchin Town in 2021/22.
