Bluebells Bring in Sage

Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Yate Town have announced the signing of Will Sage.

Sage came through the ranks at Bristol City’s academy having featured predominantly for their under-18 side.

Since being released at the end of the 2021/22 season he has been working closely with Marvin Brown for fitness and getting match sharpness at Keynsham Town, where he made 34 appearances and scored 4 goals.

He did sign for Yate in March 2023.

John Rendell told his club’s website: “We have had Will in training with us since he was released from City towards the end of last season.

“He has gained valuable experience playing at Keynsham and trained well with us as an introduction to life in the semi-professional world.

“Will has bags of ability and we are pleased to be able to work with him this season, as we look to further aid his own development.

“It’s a big step coming out of a professional football as a youngster into Step 4 and it’s not for everyone. But we think Will has the attributes to establish himself as a consistent performer with us here at Yate Town".
