Jonas Kalonda, Joshua Morrison and Oliver Jovanovic have all become new Ducks for 2023/24.

Kalonda is a 20-year-old left-sided defender or midfielder who was with FC Romania from November 2022 after joining from rivals Barton Rovers, where he had been since January 2022 on dual registration from Northern Premier Division One Midlands side Cambridge City before making the move a more permanent one in the summer of 2022.

He had joined City in the summer of 2021 from Hitchin Town, where he had been since October 2020.

He started his career with Luton Town and signed for the Hatters as an under-8 and progressed through the ranks before being released in June 2020 after serving the second year of his scholarship.

Aylesbury manager Jack Wells told his club’s website: “Jonas has really stood out in our sessions so far, and has all the attributes we're looking for. After finding out he played against us last year for Barton I went back and watched the Veo, he was brilliant before coming off with an injury. A player I'm really excited to watch flourish in our environment.”

Morrison joins the club at the other end of his career, with the 38-year-old bringing significant experience with him from a host of clubs, most recently Isthmian League South Central outfit Marlow last season as both a player and a coach.

Wells added: “I’m very pleased to welcome Joshua to the club, he epitomises the phrase ‘age is just a number’, but the experience and professionalism he offers us will prove very valuable to us over the course of our season. Not only another option through the middle to offer competitiveness, but as someone who I've quickly trusted and who has trusted me in helping this club move forward.”

Jovanovic is a 22-year-old forward with Marlow as one of his previous clubs, in addition to Hanworth Villa and Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Wells said: “This is a very exciting signing for us as a club. OJ is destined to play higher with his technical ability and a great head on his shoulders. I'm thrilled he's entrusted us with his development and I'm sure will play a huge part in this coming campaign”.
