The 21-year-old joins the Magpies from Southern Premier Division South side Salisbury where he had been since August 2022.
He became a free agent in the summer of 2022 following his release from Ipswich Town.
He had joined the Tractor Boys in September 1990 from AFC Wimbledon.
He had been with Dons since the age of 14 after coming through the ranks at Premier League AFC Bournemouth.
He is, however, certainly no stranger to non-League football, having spent time on loan with Basingstoke Town whilst on AFC Wimbledon’s books and then made 30 appearances for Gosport Borough on loan from Ipswich in 2021/22.
Manager Tim Sills told his club’s website: “Delighted to have Bert sign on for the season. We have a great mix now of youth and experience in the goalkeeping department and Bert brings a real pedigree behind him with bundles of potential. One to watch and a really exciting prospect”.
