The 20-year-old midfielder confirmed he would be leaving Badger’s Hill to take up an exciting scholarship opportunity in the United States.
Humphries started out at Mangotsfield United and then transferred to Larkhall Athletic in December 2021 and then to league rivals Frome in June 2022.
He studied sports science at SGS College.
He enjoyed a good first season with Frome, making 41 appearances, with 13 assists and scoring the one goal before going on to win the young player of the year award at the club’s end of season awards.
Frome manager Danny Greaves told his club’s website: “We are obviously disappointed to lose Owen. We felt this would be a big year for him after transitioning to part-time football. However, it is a great opportunity, and one he has to take. The door is always open when he returns”.
