Plenty of New Faces at Harrow

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Harrow Borough have added several players under new manager Jordan Berry.

Several have followed Berry from Combined Counties League Premier Division North side Egham Town.

They include experienced midfielder Stefan Powell.

The 29-year-old joined the Sarnies last summer from Chalfont St Peter.

He had returned to the Saints from Beaconsfield Town, where he had been since February 2020.

Also previously with Stotfold, Arlesey Town, Hitchin Town, Barton Rovers and Bedford Town, he joined Potters Bar Town during the 2018/19 season from Northwood.

He had been with Woods since September 2018 having signed from Beaconsfield where he was a member of their title-winning squad.

He moved to AFC Dunstable towards the end of December 2019.

Two others follow Powell from Egham in Tristan Francois-Vernal and Barsa Mirtahmasebi.

Francois-Vernal is a 20-year-old defender who started his career with Leyton Orient and spent time on loan with Harlow Town in October 2020.

He returned to his parent club in December 2020 after the curtailment of the 2020/21 season through Covid.

In the summer of 2021 he was signed by Middlesbrough before returning to the London area and joining Egham.

Mirtahmasebi, also 20, is a defender or midfielder who joined Kings Langley in the summer of 2022 from Staines Town before making the switch to the Sarnies later that season.

He had originally been with the Swans on dual registration with Slough Town since the summer of 2021.

As a junior, he played for Omonia youth, Aldenham Excel, and was a Middlesex Schools Cup winner with Mill Hill County High School, as well as representing South East England Schools.

He was an under-18 player with Hayes & Yeading United, also gaining Middlesex Youth representative honours, and later played for Wingate & Finchley and Uxbridge.

Also new at Earlsmead is Lonit Talla.

The 21-year-old is a product of the successful youth set up at Uxbridge.

An attacking player who can also play in midfield, he was originally on the books at Queens Park Rangers as a youngster and is qualified to play for Albania.

Tricky winger Sandro Costa Dias Fernandes joins Boro from Isthmian League South Central side Northwood.

The 28-year-old had joined Woods in October 2022.

He had re-joined Chesham United in March 2022 from Egham, having joined the Sarnies in the summer of 2021 from Uxbridge and also Southall having had a previous spell with Chesham in 2019/20, joining from Thurlow Nunn League outfit Mildenhall Town, where he had been since February 2019 after arriving from Potter Bar Town.

The Portuguese-born player spent time with SL Benfica, Odivelas and SMD Canecas as a youngster back home and with North Greenford United and Hanwell Town before joining Potters Bar.

Midfielder Nagheeb Ibrahim arrives at Harrow from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Leverstock Green.

The 25-year-old had joined Green during the 2021/22 season from Edgware & Kingsbury.

Powerfully built forward Reece Cameron joins Harrow from Leverstock Green’s league rivals Arlesey Town.

Thee 26-year-old had been with Colney Heath since early September 2021.

He returned to Heath for a third time, after being with Oxhey Jets.

He came through the ranks with Chesham United's reserve team before playing for Leverstock Green.

He then signed for Aylesbury United in 2015.

Versatile in attack, he can either play as a central striker or on the wing, with some of his most eye-catching performances coming from wide positions.

He went on to make over 70 appearances for the Ducks before moving on to Colney Heath in 2017 and then returning to Leverstock Green shortly afterwards.

He went back to Heath in 2018, returned once more to Leverstock Green and then joined Jets in 2019.

Charlie Mitchell is a direct wide player.

The 25-year-old was previously with Hayes & Yeading United, Hanwell Town and North Greenford United, who joined Chalfont St Peter in 2018 after impressing the management in performances against them the previous season.

He spent a season with Gibraltar side Lynx in 2016/17 and then returned to North Greenford in 2020.

Forward Donte Thompson-Prempeh joins Harrow from league rivals Chesham United.

The 19-year-old came through the famed academy at Southampton.

In the summer of 2020 he was released by the Saints and signed for Fleetwood Town.

He had loan spells with Kendal Town until the end of the 2021/22 season having been a constant figure in Fleetwood's under-18s.

He moved back south with Spartan South Midlands outfit Broadfields United and then Chesham.
