Four Added to Berkhamsted Squad

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Berkhamsted have added four players to their promotion-winning squad.

Impressive right back Anthony Ball re-joins the Comrades from Division One Central side Aylesbury United.

The 24-year-old had moved to the Ducks at the end of December 2018 from Berkhamsted.

He won Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Aylesbury Vale Dynamos` young player of the year award in 2017/18 as he was a regular for the Ducks` town neighbours in what was his first season in senior football.

A graduate of the Luton Town Cedars development programme, he has also featured for Winslow United before originally joining Berko in the summer of 2018.

Big forward Edu Toiny-Pendred, 21, moves to Broadwater from Division One Central side Hertford Town, where he had been since late October 2022.

He had re-joined Kings Langley in January 2020.

Originally with Premier League Watford, he played for Kings in 2017/18 and 2018/19, making 17 appearances in all, before having a short spell with Spartan South Midland League Division Two outfit Berkhamsted Raiders, who shared Kings` ground. However, in March 2019 the 6`4” forward moved to the United States and joined St Mary`s Rattlers in the Lone Star Conference.

Pacey wide attacker Kyal Williams is another to return to Berkhamsted.

The 21-year-old was originally with Watford`s academy, Berkhamsted`s under-18s and Hertford Town`s under-21s.

He signed for Kings Langley in the summer of 2020 and moved to Isthmian League South Central side Northwood in December 2021 and then to Gosport Borough in August 2022.

Forward Sam Meakes returns to the area after joining Division One South side Frome Town in February 2023.

The 19-year-old moved to Somerset from Hitchin Town.

He had joined the Canaries in July 2022, having been on loan from St Albans City in November and December 2021.

He came through St Albans` academy and also spent time on loan with AFC Dunstable.
