Poppies Bring in Former Saint

Kettering Town have signed midfielder Hugh Dawson ready for their return to the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central.

The 19-year-old graduated from Vanarama National League South side St Albans City’s youth teams to the first team where he played regularly last season.

He scored his first goal in an Emirates FA Cup replay against Corinthian-Casuals at Clarence Park – a goal which won him the 2021/22 `goal of the season` award.

His move to the Poppies coincides with his studies at Nottingham University.
