To continue the coincidence, this Owen James also began his career as a junior with League One side Oxford United, making his full debut for the U’s in 2018 against Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old then went on loan to Oxford City, Stratford Town, Bracknell Town and Chalfont St Peter.
On being released by Oxford United, he continued with Chalfont, returned to Stratford, and then signed for Evesham United, Bedford Town and Kidlington.
Aylesbury manager Jack Wells told his club’s website: “A signing of this magnitude is a huge boost for us with competitive fixtures just over two weeks away from starting.
“Owen needs the right environment to help him get back to where he needs to and should be playing. If we at Aylesbury can facilitate that for him while enjoying him in the time he's with us it will be a win-win for all involved”.
