First is 24-year-old Portuguese winger Tiago Nassunculo, who joins the Ives from league rivals Barwell where he made 31 appearances last season, scoring 3 goals.

Nassunculo had been with Barwell since August 2022 after arriving from Spalding United.

He had joined the Tulips in February 2022 from Redditch United, where he had been since late September 2020.

He joined the Reds having been on the books at Wisbech Town in 2019/20, making 21 appearances and scoring 4 goals before lockdown.

He had signed for the Fenmen in September 2019 from Peterborough Sports. #

He came through the Grantham Town academy to the fringes of their first team and was loaned out to United Counties League side Boston Town in late 2018.

He scored 10 goals in 13 appearances for the Poachers before moving on to Sports in the summer of 2019.

The second new signing is defender Aaron Smith.

The 22-year-old talented left-back or midfielder joins from United Counties League Premier Division South neighbours St Neots Town.

He had been with the Saints since June 2019 after arriving from Mildenhall Town.

He spent time at Peterborough United, joining up with their under-18 side on a non-contract basis after a string of impressive performances for 'Hall and prior to this, was part of the Norwich City football programme at Ely College.

Centre-back Murphy Culkin joins the Ives from league rivals Redditch United where he was a regular in the first team squad last season.

Also capable of playing full back or in a defensive midfield role, he brings an added versatility to the squad.

He has also previously represented Barton Rovers, Eynesbury Rovers and Biggleswade FC.
