Two Loan Recruits for Sports

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Mickleover have made two late loan signings on the eve of the their opening game at St Ives Town on Saturday.

Derby County striker George Nunn returns to the Don Amott Arena for a third spell, having scored 3 goals for the club last season.

The Republic of Ireland Youth international penned a two-year deal with the Rams in the summer of 2022 after parting company with Chelsea.

A former Crewe Alexandra schoolboy, he spent four seasons at Chelsea, playing for their under-18 and development squads, as well as competing in the UEFA Youth League and EFL Trophy to continue his progression.

In 2022/23, he made 10 appearances for the Rams in Premier League 2 - Division 1 and also spent some time on loan with then-Vanarama National League South side Cheshunt.

He is joined by Burton Albion’s Finn Delap, son of Republic of Ireland international Rory and brother of Hull City’s Liam.

He progressed through the Brewers` academy ranks and has been a regular in the under-21s and has been on the first team bench.

Delap can play centre or wing back and had a spell on loan at Ilkeston Town from October 2022 until the end of last season.
