Gamble scored goals for fun in his playing career with the likes of Bashley, Winchester City, Farnborough, AFC Totton and Wimborne Town, who he also managed, before joining Sholing to be head of their under-18 academy.
The 36-year-old holds a BA Hons in Football Studies and UEFA B coaching qualifications and has also registered as a player.
Alex Sawyer returns to Sholing from Wessex League Premier Division side Hythe & Dibden.
The 30-year-old had joined Hythe from league rivals Blackfield & Langley in the summer of 2022.
A box-to-box midfielder and set-piece specialist, he originally joined the Boatmen in 2021 and has made over 350 appearances and scored more than 40 goals.
