Parkes Returns to Parkway on a More Permanent Basis

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Plymouth Parkway have announced that goalkeeper Adam Parkes has moved from Championship neighbours Plymouth Parkway on a permanent basis.

Following his release from Argyle at the end of last season, the 23-year-old re-joins Parkway after a successful loan spell at Bolitho last season.

He initially joined Parkway in October 2022 and made his debut in a 1-0 away win over Harrow Borough and enjoyed some stand-out performances during his loan spell which was extended until the end of the 2022/23 season.

When he first moved the short distance to Bolitho Park, he had only put pen-to-paper for Argyle as a free agent the previous week.

Weymouth-born, he progressed through the Southampton academy and signed his first professional deal in 2016.

He also represented England at under-17 level.

He moved to Watford in 2019 and gained experience with loan spells with Vanarama National League South side Havant & Waterlooville and National League outfit Barnet, before spending the 2021/22 season on loan with Dover Athletic, then in the National League, playing 22 games.

He was released by Watford in the summer of 2022.
