Green for Go Now at Bedford

Bedford Town, who have made a great start to the 2023/24 Pitching In Southern League Division One Midlands season, have announced the signing of Lewis Green.

The centre-back started his career at Championship side Coventry City under a two-year scholarship and then a one-year professional deal until he turned 19, playing for the under-18s and under-23s.

During this time, he had a short term loan spell with Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Coleshill Town in 2019.

The young defender then went to the United States and played for Elon University from 2019 to 2021 and Missouri State from 2021 to 2023.

Green has impressed the management team over a successful pre-season campaign and is eager to start for the Eagles.

The club submitted international clearance for Green a fortnight ago, and this has now been returned, enabling him to play.
