Having won two and lost two of his opening four games at the helm, Hayes & Yeading United manager, Ritchie Hanlon, is working hard to find the right formula.
“We can’t be the team that passes just for the sake of passing,” said Hanlon who stepped up from assistant to replace the departing Paul Hughes over the summer. “For me, six points from 12 on offer is not good enough for where we want to be.
“There is no doubt that we have good players here and for us as a management team, we have to be able to find the right formula, which we are working hard to do.
“We’ve had a positive week in preparation for what will be a busy Bank Holiday weekend with two games in as many days.
“First and foremost, our focus is on responding in the right way to our defeat at Sholing last weekend. We know what we have to do.”
Hanlon’s side host Winchester City on Saturday and then head to Hanwell Town on Monday.
