There was a first start of the season for North Leigh defender, George Gilmore, on Saturday as he helped his side to their second win of the season with a 3-1 triumph at Ware.
“It’s been a frustrating few weeks,” admitted the 21 year-old. “So to get my first start was great and now it’s down to me to prove what I can do on a consistent basis.
“That’s football; it’s about being ready for when your chance comes along and it was nice that we were able to bring home the three points.
“There’s a good vibe around the dressing room and a real sense of togetherness. If we can match Saturday’s work-rate in Monday’s game against Cirencester Town then it will stand us in good stead as we look to add to our points’ tally.”
