Hungerford Town manager, Danny Robinson, knows the importance of the Emirates FA Cup, both from a football and financial perspective.
The Crusaders sit in the middle of the Pitching In Southern League Premier South table having taken just one point from their two Bank Holiday games as they followed up a 2-1 loss at Salisbury with a point from a 2-2 home draw with Didcot Town.
Now they prepare to host lower level, Petersfield Town, of the Wessex League as they set out on the Emirates FA Cup trail.
“The FA Cup is the best domestic Cup competition in the World,” stated Robinson without hesitation. “We’re looking forward to being involved in it at the weekend and want to go as far as we possibly can in it.
“We know only too well about the importance of it because we want to make as much money as possible for the football club.
“We’ve got bills to pay, it’s as simple as that, so we’d love to have a good run and we’ll be giving it our all to make sure we do so.
“By progressing we can also use the momentum gained in our League matches, so it’s a big game for us.”
