All tickets have been sold for Tuesday evening’s big local derby in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central as Stourbridge play host to Halesowen Town.
The two sides go into the game sitting third and fourth in the table with both on 13 points after seven games.
“This is a massive one for us for numerous reasons,” said Stourbridge manager, Leon Broadhurst. “Ultimately, just like any other game, there are three points at stake, but there is obviously more to it than that.
“There will be a big, vocal crowd in attendance with local pride and bragging rights at stake as well as those all-important points.
“It will mean something to all of the players, managers and coaching staff involved on both sides and, of course, the fans. Even more so as the teams haven't played each other in recent seasons.
“We know only too well that it will be a tough game against opponents who are unbeaten so far and sit level on points with us.
“From our point of view, we will be looking to get back on track following defeat at Needham Market on Saturday.”
Whilst The Glassboys were going down to a single-goal defeat at the hands of The Marketmen, Halesowen Town were extending their unbeaten start to the campaign with a 2-0 triumph over Stamford.
Tuesday’s game has all the ingredients to be a cracker.
