Hobbs Seeks Home Improvements

Plymouth Parkway boss bemoans naivety

Home has not been where the heart is so far for Plymouth Parkway.

Saturday’s 2-1 reverse at the hands of Hanwell Town was the third time that they have lost at Bolitho Park already this season having previously succumbed 3-1 at the hands of Sholing and 2-0 to Gosport Borough.

“This kind of home form is just not us and not what we’re about,” said manager, Lee Hobbs. “It was a difficult one to take at the weekend and I blame the players that weren’t available more than the ones that were.

“We’re still showing the kind of naivety that cost us at the start of the season and whilst we haven’t gone back down that cul-de-sac, it’s frustrating and we have to be better.

“We didn’t do enough to win on Saturday, I think a draw would have been a fair result but in the end it was our third defeat out of four at home in the League and that is unacceptable.

“We need to get back to making this place a fortress. We’re back here on Saturday in the Emirates FA Cup against Frome Town. They are a club that I have a lot of respect for and will make life tough for us, but we’ll be going all out to get back into winning ways here.”
