Hanwell Town supporters, Lucy and Elsa Jones, completed the London Bridge Wellness Walk on Sunday, raising vital funds for Diabetes UK.
The duo are regular supporters of the Pitching In Southern League Premier South club where a collection at Saturday’s home game against Poole Town added another £130 to their fund-raising total.
The Walk took them ten miles across 12 London Bridges, which they completed full of smiles at the end.
Meanwhile The Geordies’ manager, Chris Moore, was not so happy after seeing his side go down 3-0 at home to Poole.
“We were simply not good enough in both boxes,” he said. “We were better than them in between and had plenty of the play, but we missed a great chance and then they went down the other end and scored.
“That was the story of the game really. I am pleased that we are creating plenty of chances, but we have to be better in both boxes.”
Moore sees his side, who have four wins and four defeats to their name in the League so far, go to Hendon on Tuesday evening.
