Sitting just inside the top five going into the weekend action, Bideford have enjoyed a solid start to the season in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South.
The long-serving Sean Joyce has seen his side win four of their last five League games, including a 3-1 victory over the fancied Wimborne Town in their last home game.
On Saturday they host another side who have made a bright start to the campaign, Willand Rovers, who sit third in the table.
“We are playing on the front-foot and with a smile on our faces at the moment,” Joyce told us. “I want to be able to create an environment where the players can enjoy their football and quietly go about their business.
“Last weekend we went to Evesham United and found a way to win the game whereas previously that has not always been the case.
“Our recent results and performances have given us the belief to take into what will be another tricky test on Saturday, but it’s one we are looking forward to with relish as we aim to extend our impressive recent run of form.”
