Pitching In Southern League Premier Central outfit, Nuneaton Borough, have announced a takeover of the club by DA Capital.
"My time as a custodian of Nuneaton Borough has come to an end,” said Jimmy Ginnelly, who will remain as manager. “Because of the developments over the past month, I feel that it is now time for someone else to take over the club.
“David [Anderson], Robert [Tidmarsh] and Nick [Thompson] will take over operational control of the club; they have a great knowledge of football business and understand the local aspect that makes this club so special.
“Their expertise and ability as owners to take the club forward and deal with the challenges ahead is the best possible outcome for the survival and growth of the club.
“Now I can focus fully on the football, which is what I have always wanted to do, and leave the business side of the club in good hands.
“The team is in a great place to challenge for promotion again and we are having a wonderful Cup run, plus we have some great young players coming through our new academy that will be the long-term future of the club.”
Boro’s recent run of form has taken them up to seventh in the table and they will be given a stern test at the weekend as they head to leaders, Mickleover.
