It’s a positive move for the Devon club as they look to ignite their season after just one win from their opening 14 League games.
Pearse recently departed Bridgwater United after a successful seven-year reign at the helm of the Toolstation Western League club.
He brings a wealth of experience to the Circle of Care Community Stadium, where he will work closely alongside long-serving manager, Kevin Hill, and assistant, Andy Rawlings.
“I'm delighted to join Exmouth Town,” Pearse told us. “I’ve known Kevin Hill for a long time and having spoken with him recently about the future plans for the club, it didn’t take long for me to agree to come here.
“It's a challenge that I am really looking forward to. I know already that there is plenty of talent within the squad and they are more than capable of turning things around and moving up the table, it’s just a case of being able to bring it out of them.
“My experience at Bridgwater will stand me in good stead; it was quite a journey over the past seven years and I leave with many happy memories, but now my focus is on the task in hand here.
“It’s important at this stage to take it one game at a time and try not to look too far ahead. There are plenty of points to play for and a busy schedule of matches coming up, which I can’t wait to get stuck in to.”
It’s a tough baptism for Pearse as Exmouth head to high-flying Frome Town on Saturday.
Meanwhile at Saturday’s home game against Cribbs, some of the club’s volunteers were proudly wearing their new hoodies that were presented to them by the club.
The number of volunteers at the club has gradually risen over the years from just two people in a hut only five years ago.
